What is an Education Degree? – Bachelor’s degrees in teaching and education are most often designed to meet specific state licensing requirements for initial licensure in any area or subject in the K grade range, while master’s degrees are available for either initial licensure or advancement. The Santa Fe College Adult Education program offers a supportive environment and many resources to help you get where you want to go. Our program is designed to help adults get the basic skills they need to be productive workers, family members, and citizens.
In addition, CCU offers dual degree programs for students interested in completing both a bachelor's and master's degree in an accelerated time-saving format. Since many adult students are interested in online degree programs, nearly all of our courses are offered online. Our adult education classes are taught from a Christian worldview. The major program areas are Adult High School, GED® Preparation: High School Equivalency, Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). These programs emphasize basic skills such as reading, writing, math and English language competency.
